Haven’t we decided we don’t want permanently injured players?

Most of his issues have been groin/abductor which isn't unusual in a tall young player. He didn't miss a game last season

As good as he's been he's only played 21 games and only 4 in the league.

If we can't even get £15 million for him then it makes zero sense to actually sell him. Loan him out next season and see how he gets on.

His competition with Ireland, Bazunu had only played in the League of Ireland 4 times and 73 times in League One, when he transferred to Southampton for £12m last summer.

An outfield player that played 20 times for Liverpool would go for a lot more than a player that had played 73 times for Portsmouth and Rochdale. I think that will be reflected in the fee and he will go for around £20m, especially if there is interest from a few clubs.

I think Brentfod have divided the asking price by two. It was payment in two instalments.

Brentford think £15m is unrealistic or we think their offer of £15m is unrealistic?

Even so, £15m is unrealistic. Talks should start at double that amount.

Said it before but give him some money. FA Cup, League Cup and all Europa. Every game inc final if.

No idea how many games that is. 20+ maybe. Rather play 20 game for us with a good wage than 40 odd for Brentford.

When we’re rocking out at Wembley to play Bayern Munich in the CL next season, I hope Alisson is in goal.

Kelleher is the reason we have highly paid people in charge of the football side of the business. If they think Kelleher will be better than Alison then we sell Alison, if as we probably all suspect, he won't be better then their job is to get the best price for him and replace him with someone we can also cash in on in 2 years. It's a big boy decision but we can't expect to retain a highly rated player that doesn't play.

This would be interesting. He's a small CB who isn't strong in duels and is weak in the air. If this is true, I imagine we'd use him in a hybrid role. Wide centre back, right back, #6 type thing. He's a really tidy player and is fast.

Like this?

Still seems a risk, unless, like you say, they see him as a bit of a swiss army knife who can fill multiple positions as the opponent dictates.

No doubt this would be the thought right? He wouldn't be a typical centre back for us. We'd use him like John Stones, surely.

Yep, it's just odd that the one position you'd be least comfortable with him in (especially as 1 of 2) would be the position he's been bought to strengthen.

True. But I think the Trent thing is opening up a lot of possibilities.

Like, at CB, we could have Konaté, van Dijk and Matip if he stays the last year of his deal as your traditional centre backs, and then we could say, sell Gomez and Tsimikas, Robbo is the traditional left back and then you buy Timber and a left sided defender who can play multiple roles and then all of a sudden, we'd be really versatile and fluid there. Could play a multitude of ways.

As Jairzinho said, we got £12.5m for Ward and he’s garbage.

I think these deals are catching up on us. Brewster, Ibe, Ward, we could end up in the fraud courts.
