Pretty much anywhere left or centre attacking positions either as striker or deeper.

I think the summer signings plus potentially this one point to the coaching staff having more say in Transfers. Whether that’s good or bad in the long run time will tell. He looked good in the World Cup and seems to have had a very good season for PSV and would seem a good fit on paper.

You’ve got to think Virgil knew this was more or less done before he commented about new players. He’s probably been on the phone to him several times as well as Klopp and Ljinders. Tapped him up royally and sold him the project haven’t we. Let’s hope it goes through now. We took Diaz from spurs, let’s take Gakpo from united. Lovely

Apparently Virgil was raving about him to the club. If he is good enough for Virgil to rate him, that ticks enough boxes for me...
