Happened on a website last night which suggested 3 mudlarks for today so to give me an interest I threw them on as £1 doubles and a treble. Third Wind was the first of them. So with the weight of years of my hard luck betting stories a word of warning to you all. Avoid Royal Kahala in the 3.30 and Frontal Assault in the 5.30.

Now I’m up a bit. Did anyone watch the race? I didn’t see it. Probably for the best if it was a close run thing.

Just watched the highlights of the finish. Beaten by 1 and a bit lengths. The winner was always holding it though.

Still, a decent pick. Well in.

I’ve hardly put anything on yet. Keeping my powder dry until tomorrow.

Only picked it because of the jockey. Nico De Whatsisface always seems to be there or there abouts, whatever horse he’s sitting on.

Fancy Felix Desjy (2.10) e/w at a big price, particularly with the extra places available. 80/1. Finished just outside the places in it’s two previous runs at Cheltenham. It’s in a handicap today, but it’s previous two Cheltenham runs were in much hotter races - the Champion Bumper and the Supreme Novices Hurdle - so should find today easier. Can’t see it winning, but it might sneak into the places especially if you can get on with a bookie who pays out on the top 7 or 8.
