Anyone been? Going for a couple of nights next month for work. The Orioles are away unfortunately so was thinking of going to DC for the day to watch the Nats but other than that I know absolutely nothing about the city.

Went there a couple years ago, but only for one day-the centre of the city is nice, but if you go out to the west, it's a little dicey. "The Wire" is pretty aaccurate.

 

We took a tour that left from right behind the visitor's centre, and it was good. 

 

If you can get to Washington, it's well worth it. Many more things to do, free museums (Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is amazing), tour Congress, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, etc.

It's been there since the mid 1970s. Might look unsturdy but I bet it wasn't. From the video that ship was digging out a big wash from the bow, looked like it was travelling at a fair rate. Poor fuckers in their cars stood no chance.

Baltimore Police said there was no evidence that the ship collision that caused the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge was intentional.

“There is absolutely no indication that there's any terrorism, that this was done on purpose,” Chief Richard Worley said at a news conference.

Christ just seen it , what in gods name how  has that happened can only think no one was on the bridge of the ship at the time .
