Not playing him for the rest of the season might protect some of the little transfer value he might have left. Hopefully by next season West Ham will have forgotten how shite he is and give us 10m for him.

I cannot comprehend why we would be attempting to sign a £32.5m Benteke in a world where Lacazette is available for £21m. It's not even just that the Frenchman is a much better player, because of course he is, but also a better fit for our style of play. Why sell Carroll at a loss only to then spunk a similar amount on the Belgian Carroll? Madness.
