rinse the fuckers for all that we can, he is a good player despite what has been said, but we cannot afford any passengers, if he doesn't want to be here then get all we can so we can reinvest in some mid table mediocrity. And a couple of players with potentian to loan out.

Take it or leave it: City make FINAL Raheem Sterling bid

Manchester City have made a final take-it-or-leave-it offer of £40million for Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling.

City had an initial £25m bid - with £5m in add-ons - for Sterling rejected by Liverpool, but have returned with an improved offer.

Liverpool value Sterling at £50m but City are confident their latest bid will prove successful and see Sterling move to the Etihad Stadium.

Sterling, 20, has two years left on his current contract and Liverpool risk seeing his transfer value plummet if they hang on to him for next season, increasing the pressure on them to accept City's latest bid.

If City are successful with the bid, Sterling will become Manuel Pellegrini's first signing of the summer, with the Blues keen to add Juventus's Paul Pogba and Wolfsburg's Kevin De Bruyne as part of a £150m spending spree.

or we tell city to pay what we think he is worth, or they can go out and pay over the top for other English players. They have to invest in home grown player this summer, and they would prefer he could be a first team regular by the looks of it.

so.we have them over a barrel as far as how much they have to pay. Either that or they can splash 25m on Wayne Routledge, or 35m on Fabian Delph.

The concern then though is that nobody will pay anywhere near that. 40 mil is daylight robbery on our part.

So Sterling could fetch 40million and reported wages of 140-190k per week and play for a team challenging for the title and Champions League possibly.

Oh and a seven figure bonus for his agent.

Maybe Sterlings agent is not as stupid as he looks right?.

The beautiful game eh.

I have to confess, whilst I would love to fleece City for more, for 40m Id be a little tempted to ring them straightaway and ask what time we can drop him off tonight!

Whatever, it needs to be quick, dont want a summer saga where Rodgers blames the dithering on why he had to buy the shittest centre forward on the planet.

When city go bragging about spending £150m on 3 first teamers this summer, they will pay the money, otherwise they will look stupid. How many English players are going to go there and be first team regulars, not many I would guess, I also think the way they have fucked up Rodwell and Sinclair younger players will be a little more sceptical about going there.

Dave, whether or not we get the sterling money early or late it will not detract from us buying the shittest forward possible for far more than he is worth.

Not much has changed, apart from us not wanting to remain a Top club (let alone an elite club) anymore.

Traditionally, in demand footballers want to move to clubs that can pay more and challenge for trophies. In today's world they have more contractual flexibility and more money.
