The incredible thing was that Keegan was an out-and-out superstar and the guy that replaced him, Dalglish, was even better.

The real triumph was Bob Paisley's judgment. Impeccable. Peerless.

 

I put Callaghan third because he played one or two more games than Suarez and Beardsley.
