Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea all much better than us this season. Spurs have been too. Arsenal have been inconsistent and Everton have done well, though a suspicion of slightly overachieving lingers over them.

 

I think seventh should be the worst we will do this season (behind the six clubs mentioned, though ahead of everyone else). But if things keep clicking into gear, and with the introduction of Sturridge we are looking a lot better, then who knows? With a great run we could just about nick 4th, but in all likelihood that is too far away for us. Let's see where we are after the Arsenal and City games. If we do poorly in those games the impatient element of the fan base will be calling for Rodgers to go. If we do well, say four points, more people will start to believe we have an outside chance of fourth.

 

We are heading in the right direction though, and we should persist with it.
