Whether for your phone, tablet or Android box. What's good ? What's shit ? What does it do ? Is it free ? You get the picture...

Obviously Play Store, Paypal, Ebay etc, everybody has those already, but what about the other apps which you have installed which you regularly use ?

Spotify. Free music which you can bluetooth over to a hifi, DAC or bluetooth speaker.

Clean My Android. Free, dead easy and gets rid of loads of junk and frees up space.

Just Eat. Free app which is a one stop shop for all fat cunts everywhere.

HD File Manager. Another freebie which is great for file manipulation on your device. I copied over 13000 from my iPod to my Android hard drive, first time and flawlessly. Easy to use.

Songkick. Grabs your favourite artists and bands from your iPod or from Spotify faves and automatically informs you if they've got a gig coming up somewhere near you soon. Again, it's free and once set up you can just leave it alone, it will notify automatically. I've lost count of the number of gigs I would have missed or been completely oblivious of if not for Songkick.

Live Soccer TV - Tells you every game that's on the telly in Britain

Trainline - Brilliant for booking tickets, looking at times & checking where your train is

Outlook - This might sound stupid but I didn't know there was an App until about six months ago, makes it really quick & easy to check your e-mails

IMDB - Great for when you can't work out what else someone has been in on a film or tv programme, or if you want to find the actresses name for perving purposes

I have recently been getting interested in broadening my music and have been wondering about Spotify. Is it really free? Whats the catch?

When its free(unless its changed)

You cannot skip through your playlists and you get adverts

There is a 30 day free trial normally anyway. I pay for it as its £10 a months(or 15 for a family ticket) and you can download the albums/songs to your phone so you dont eat up data allowance when you are out

Its worth giving the trial a go and if you use it alot while out and about then paying monthly or just keeping it free at hom

Both paid and unpaid versions. Unpaid has an ad every 30 minutes (I can live with that) and on your phone it will shuffle a playlist rather than play tracks in order. Curiously, on a tablet it doesn't do this.

Spotify is well worth a tenner a month. Especially if you're wanting to find new music. Like Lee said, you can get the free trial first.

StumbleUpon app is decent for finding interesting things to read online. Was recommended that site on here years ago and still use it.

I've only recently started using the 'News' app that's standard on iPhones. It's good for grabbing stories from different sources. You can pick and choose which papers to block from appearing so it's quite handy. Before using that I mainly just used the Guardian app.

I just installed the Your DPD app today. Directed to do so via an email, waiting for a parcel to arrive.

Anyway, another freebie but a bit of a faff to install. Mind you, I found it surprisingly brilliant, telling me where the driver was and a to the minute expected time of arrival.

Great for me because I had to leg it to the doctors and to the bank this morning, got back home and the parcel arrived 10 minutes laer, bang on time.

Poweramp - Easily the best music player i have used. Free version or full version (with lots of good tweaks) for about £3.

Podcast Addict - Simple podcast player with excellent search function

Strava - For running and/or cycling. it's segment based timings are great if you like a bit of competition.

Smash Hit - Hugely addictive game which involves smashing glass with ball bearings, complete with odd, ambient soundtrack.
