It really is hard to take a Man City opinion seriously on this issue. Lets look at Ajax and see if oil money have affected them, you say no I say yeah. Teams like City and Chelsea increased the wages 2 fold for good and shit players, that means madrid, bayern etc have to increase their wage bill to compete, that feeds it's way down the line and affects everyone. Suarez is on 200k because Rooney is, Rooney is on that because of your oil money, Man utd could afford to pay him that 5 years but didn't because they didn't have too. Uefa are right to clamp down on shit clubs ruining foitball, I would take great pleasure in Everton or Man Utd taking your place in next seasons champions league. Ajax are shit now because kids become millionaires elsewhere before they kick a ball for the first team, your team helped do that.

Edit: Just to add that Suarez's wages will be paid by us, so your shit club actually stuck their hand in my pocket and took out another £2 or £3 per match.

And therein lies the problem... you see City fan and can't see beyond that.

Ajax were having these issues before City.

Real Madrid's Galacticos were bankrolled way fore City too.

At least TRY and be objective about matters.

Of course the money's an issue, but you're kidding yourself if you think that PSG / City / Chelsea were to stop existing tomorrow, the problem would be cured. It wouldn't.

The issue isn't those clubs, it's the knock on effect of CL and PL success that screamed for money to arrive into clubs.... now it has, UEFA are found wanting in how to deal with it in a proper manner.

Liverpool's own books haven't been pretty reading in recent years? is that the fault of other clubs? no. Is it Liverpool's fault? not entirely. It's a European wide problem affecting ALL clubs.

Players wages skyrocketed in line with PL TV rights. Sugar daddy owners are not helping the problem, but it's simply wrong to believe they are the cause. They are a symptom.

Fucking hell - Keys, Gray, Wilkinson and Andy Cole, it's the battle of the brains on Bein Sports tonight. Gray has mentioned the lack of British players as being Arsenal's problem, Wilkinson agrees and Cole rather irrelevantly, points out that Suarez would have gone down whereas Jarvis didn't, presumably making Jarvis the better player in his tiny little mind
