Robbie probably means he's absolutely fucking mental, and he's spot on.

He's been in the limelight for a year / 18 months at tops and he's been in the news for alledgedly taking coke, breaking the jaw of Taylor, beating up his bird, punching a lad at a club, had his range rover torched outside his captains house, the captain he's been forced to live with on conditions from his bail. Not bad for 18 months maximum in the public eye.

You say he'll be at a top club within a year, I think it's more likely he'll be at a top security prison... He's fucking mental. There's being a bit boisterous at a young age and then there's being an absolute shithouse of a man.

He'll end up at a top club cos he's boss.

The fame, money and attention is just a bit too much for him at the mo.

as for your list of misbehaviour most of its a joke:

Rumours of Coke, well Robbie got that, bitter people make shit up.

He had a fight with a team mate, big wow.

Has he been done for the gf beating?

Has no one elses nice car ever been torched? its not as if he torched it himself.

I'd sign him in an instant, he's a beast and he's only going to get better

He's been a bit of a bell for most of his life, has Andy Carroll. He was always getting into scraps in town on nights out even when he was in the reserves. The only difference is that nobody knew who he was so no-one gave a toss, whereas he's scoring regularly in the Premier League now so suddenly the stories are published. And also, probably exaggerated.

I'm not saying he's "just a misunderstood scal who'll grow out of it". But then again he's young enough to change as he gets older, under the right management. The Geordies like him as he's one of their own, but there's a bit of dubiousness as to whether he'll become another fast starting, hype-believing-then-career-stagnating player that they've specialised in over recent years (see Kieron Dyer, etc).

They were discussing this last night on LFCTV, one lad said he doesnt think we need a 'target man' as such but someone who will create more space for Torres by occupying defenders leaving Torres with more time.

Either of them would be great at doing both of those things. Not exclusively a target man as such but they would be great in my opinion.

It'd be nice if it were that simple but someone partnering Torres also needs to be able to work the flanks, provide an outlet, drop into midfield when we are outnumbered, provide a final ball, pose a threat on the counter, etc etc And most importantly be clever enough to know when to do each.

People are obsessed with us getting a partner/replacement for Torres when personally i think a fast winger with the ability to beat the defender is far more important.

We have Kuyt, N'Gog, Babel, Jovanovic and Eccleston who are all in first team who can play as a striker.

Whilst none of them are of the quality of Torres the impact a flying winger would make would mean even a good striker will score plenty.

Torres is one of the best strikers in the world yet he has looked poor when he does not get service so i would be more then happy to see Kuyt supporting and covering for Torres if it meant we got a winger/s in who could unlock any defence.

Juan Mata is the answer.

Really hate this kind of thing. He's supposed to be an expert on world football and the best he can (supposedly) come up with is a couple of players from his old club? Fucking hell.

And Hodgson coming in and signing Poulsen and Konchesky is so much more worldly?

Its a good start. He knows the league and has the contacts there, we build from there.

Very true, although I think Charles N'Zogbia would actually be a very good acquisiton. He can play on either flank and would add pace, skill and genuine width to our play. He is proven in the premiership, would provide creativity and a goal threat and also has a very decent delivery from corners and set-pieces.

Over rated and over priced. Better options are out there than N'zogbia.
