Why is it that we are so poor at corners? I can only remember us bein a threat when Sami was playing and Gerrards delivery is very poor. I'd personally stick Masch on them. He can put over a good ball.

This is the kind of thing which really winds me up about Rafa and is slowly but surely turning me against him as a manager. Nearly everyone can see that Lucas is the weak link in the team and should be competing with Benayoun/Riera/Babel for a place, with Gerrard dropping back next to Mascherano when someone else plays behind Torres. Nearly everyone can see that Kuyt should be substituted, even once in a blue moon, in games where he is stinking the place out. Nearly everyone can see that Gerrard should not be taking corners. Why we persist with these things when they clearly do not work is completely beyond the ken of mortal men. It's absolutely infuriating.

Lucas has been okay, the game was ticking over, in the games we have lost we didnt take our chances and we had plenty.

Despite being much maligned for his heading, Crouch also caused havoc whenever we got a corner, if only in freeing up space for other attackers.
