Amy Winehouse

Me and a mate were walking to Liverpool One today and seen a huge amount of people gathered outside The Beehive pub in the city centre. We went over to see what they were doing.

Amy Winehouse was sitting there eating, drinking and smoking. She looked disgusting. Frankie Boyle was totally correct when he said she looks like a poster campaign for abused horses.

Dirty skank.

I think it's shit how much abuse and negative press she gets. She's quite obviously got serious mental health issues and yet she's an object of either laughter or derision for half the country. The tabloid press are like fucking rubber neckers at an accident. It's really sad that a genuinely great singer and talented lyricist is more famous for the manifestations of her illness than for her music.

I agree, apart from the bit about being a great singer and lyricist. People are just horrible sometimes, it's life i guess. It's often stated that Children can be cruel, they aint got anything on the adults.

If anyone is to blame surely that gobshite Blake has a lot to do with her love of all things brown.

Obviously these things are subjective, but her voice is superb in my opinion. Don't judge it by the heavily inebriated live performances she's put in over the last few years; it's on record where it stands up: she can be powerful, subtle, soulful and aggressive and has a great range and lovely tone. As for her lyrics, I think they're really clever in terms of her word play and often make me laugh out loud with their wittiness. Only Morrissey has ever consistently made me do that before.

Not sure how you can say that. She just strikes me as a deeply damaged girl and reminds me of a moth to a flame with all the media stuff.

Paul, i think you're great mate, probably the best poster on here by some distance, but our music tastes are North Pole and South Pole.

I did edit she loves it off but to be fair, i do think she loves, and craves the attention. I like her, she's a modern day Sid Vicious, gets off her tits and doesn't give a fuck. Rock and roll.
