Widely reported bid of £10M. With no info to the contrary, there's no reason to speculate otherwise. I can't see anyway why we would let him talk to them for less.

He has done absolutely nothing to suggest he's more important for the team than Stevie. Dont get me wrong, he's a top quality player, but on Stevies level he is not. Dont forget Stevie and Alonso absolutely pissed all over Chelsea just 2 weeks ago.

 

Excuse me mate my comments were not just based on one game - he has had many more brilliant games than just yesterday against Derby County - like many Champions League games last season including the final and in fact for me virtually every time he has taken to the pitch in a red shirt he has been brilliant.

 

To not take up the option to buy him would be disastrous and as I have every faith that Rafa knows how important he is to us it will just not happen.
