That Leicester match is the one that came to mind. I think they were second in the league at the time? We absolutely played them off the park and you just knew we were watching something truly special.

They were 2nd

We just goy back from the world club cup and people thought we might get caught cold by them. Started the game 10pts ahead of Leicester with a game in hand. Wiped the floor with them to open that to 13pts and a game in hand. It was over really that day but I refused to believe it until it was done

Liverpool 5 Nottingham Forest 0 in 1988.

I’ve seen some fabulous performances down the years, as we all have, but this was as close to perfection as I’ve witnessed.

Tom Finney agreed.

“You couldn't see it bettered anywhere, not even in Brazil. The moves they put together were fantastic.”

Hard to beat the Barcelona performance.

But a notable mention was that real Madrid hiding with torres and Gerrard scoring.

Last night was another fantastic performance, but let's not get carried away, that's a shite Chelsea team.

Wolves at home under the Owl in 2010.

Lost 1-0 to a stellar Wolves side under Mick McCarthy, but we gave it a right go.

The last game I saw Liverpool lose. They were a formidable challenge.

From the last 30 years  I think the first half against Juventus at home in 2005 needs to be in the discussion , they were easily the best team in the World at the time and we just battered them. They just did not know what hit them.

7-0 against the mancs cant be topped though.

Dr Dre agreed with Tom Finney

They're the team I always look out for when I'm at home. Back in 1988 I was in London on a promotional tour with NWA, and one night we were watching TV and these cool cats in red came on the box. They whupped some poor dudes four or five zip.

The Dortmund game was one of the best for me. But the Barca game is worlds apart from anything else I have ever seen.

Special mentions to any result beating Utd comfortably.

Starting with the Torres 4-1

the 4-0; the 5-0 and the 7-0.

That 88-89 side were fucking unbelievable, smashing the living daylights out of everybody who crossed our path.

They would have won at least 2 more European Cups were it not for the European ban.

Some of Kloppo's more recent sides would push them close though.

Forest 88

Arsenal at Anfield 88

Bayern away in 2019

Barca at Anfield 2019

In the away leg, Gerrard was missing and Xabi was coming back from injury... so Igor fucking Biscan bosses the midfield. Once I'd seen that, I knew we'd win it.
