Feels a bit like the lask game, concede first and early dominate and then slowly slowly look less and less likely until the big boys come on and show why they are the big boys.

not just the Lask, also the lask but one, and the second to lask as well

This sort of performance kind of shows how stupid the concept of depth can be, how supporters perceive it, how quickly it can appear and disappear. In this case appear.

A player like Quansah shows up and all of a sudden youre bossing a game defensively without 3 first choice CBs. Were playing Bajcetic and Jones at right back successfully. Solutions few would have predicted and now it looks like we have a million options for all the competitions and games when most people were predicting a full on crisis in defense was coming. But then of course, a few injuries can change the whole thing and it will look like we fucked up the planning again.

There’s nothing like success on the pitch to get a positive attitude going through the whole squad. It spreads like a wildfire.

I’ve often wondered about that. Guess you need to take into account that the players want to play.

True. Which is a bugger. Nationalism. Isn’t it shit? Although I actually wonder now, because there is literally so much football and training, whether a lot of the players actually would prefer the break.

Very impressive stuff all over the pitch and from the subs.

Endo biting in to win several challenges in the second half was particularly welcome as it’s a role from him that we’ll need in some bigger games.

Not another one!

Plenty to be happy about, win without any injuries. Szoboszlai being a sexy bastard as usual. Gravenberch looks like he'll become very useful, reminds me of Gini, decent engine and comfortable in tight spaces with a few men on him, things like that are critical to us being able to open games up, if he's got 3 men directly trying to get the ball off him then there's only 8 men covering the entire rest of the pitch, a couple of smooth turns and a neat pass and we're away.

Endo has announced himself and shown some of what he has to offer us going forward.

Important getting some of the lesser used players working together a bit, there was quite a few times where a through ball was played and nobody made a run, or a pass was played directly to a player who has already given it the toes and sprinted 10 yards ahead of where the where ball is being passed to. Chemistry like that only improves with time on the pitch so it's some small steps in the right direction.

Foxes Talk post-match thread. Ref was against them, we have more Tory supporters, we’re all middle class from the Home Counties (ok, they’ve nailed Stringvest there, but he’s still not a Tory), on another night…. …blah, blah, blah.

If my Auntie was my Uncle, which is actually not as rare as you'd think, in those parts.

Only watched second half, Endo looked promising.

Bringing in Dom as a sub shouldn't be allowed. Fucking hell what a beast

I mean, if Daisy can catch positivity, none of us are safe!

So, ignoring the clear kick on Tsimikas’ heel, prior to their goal, what looked to be a stonewall pen when Justin went through Doak to get the ball, Ricardo getting away with at least two yellow card offences having picked up one in the first half, nearly every Liverpool challenge in the 2nd half being penalised and a foul count of 18-8 against us? Yeah, ref clearly favoured us. Leicester’s diving was pretty annoying but even last night’s ref wasn’t fooled by the outrageous dive by Dewsbury Hall (should have been a booking).

I get why some fans not fussed on the signing of Gravenberch  but in my best Kevin Keegan rant voice I love I really love having a player like that in the squad . Maybe a bit of a luxury but this is the entertainment business just live the way he plays . Someone said it in the match tread Dom may well be a sexy footballer but Ryan playing sexy football . Liking what I am seeing from everyone absolutely made up for that young CB with the unpronounceable name.

57% - 43% Possession

29 - 4 Shots

10 - 1 on target

11 - 1 off target

8 - 2 blocked

10 - 2 corners

On another night what, they might have conceded 8?

Yeah Doak looks very raw in both the games he's started this season. He's only 17 so it's understandable!

He might need to follow the Elliott and Quansah route of going out on loan I think to get a run of games at a lower level.

Or he learns more rapidly here, and the fans show him some patience. The myth that you can go down to the Championship these days and frolic around having fun is nothing more than that.

The struggling clubs go for such players because they're looking for a quick fix, and they dump such players on the bench when they don't click immediately. The clubs near the top are chasing a fortune via promotion and, like us, expect everyone to perform or be subbed. And the mid-table clubs might indulge a player a bit more but probably won't coach them well. So there's rarely this magical place where our players can go to 'develop' any better than they can here.
