No mate, us Fannies were all like “we’re not signing anyone else, FSG don’t give a shit, we’ll be lucky to finish fifth!”

Whereas the cunts were “did you miss we signed a World Cup winning midfielder, we’ll definitely sign a few more quality players, the transfer window has only just opened you know”.

Interested if there is a player we haven't already been linked with that would be a suitable replacement for Fabinho that those of you with the time and inclination would recommend. Some seem to rate Palhinha at Fulham?

Couple of pundits mentioned Florentino Peres at Benfica. Never seen him play stats a look nothing special.

Yea, the conversation starts with "Well, that Caicedo", then tapers to silence.

Yeah mentioned him on the whinge thread or Tyler Adams ? I can’t see it being any of those four Joyce mentioned for Fab, need to be more experienced.

£40m sounds like the type of fee we would let Fab know he can go for. This isn't the shock some are making it out to be, his replacement will arrive shortly and he won't have been on Melissa Reddys list.

The only caveat to that would be that we might sign players out of order based on interest so if we're genuinely high on Lavia and the club think Chelsea or Arsenal are planning to move then they might jump on that transfer first before before bringing in Fab's replacement.

Mats Wieiffer, if we've been watching Ozan Kökçü and David Hancko over the past year or so I wonder if he's popped up on the reports.

I'm taking it here.  For want of a better term.

Any journo updates or rumours worth a mention for a fella stuck in work?

Talksport talking about a £40m bid from WestHam for Paulinha ? Would that be a way to go as a backfill for Fab if he leaves ? £40m is our perfect pitch point. Looking wider can you plan Gary there ?

otherwise a quiet day.

Update Sky saying Fulham have rejected £45m offer

Lots of reports that Fabinho is having his medical today, so the move should be confirmed in the next day or two.  I think this is a mistake. His second half of the season was much better than people credit him for, and he will prove incredibly hard to replace.

If Henderson goes as well; then losing Fabinho, Milner and Henderson in the same window seems championship manager level tinkering and is a huge risk.
