Her ideology just takes second place to self preservation the tory lust for power to keep their snouts in the trough is the most important thing. They will carry on smashing the working classes just the tax cut for the rich made the working class open their eyes for a moment.

Exactly this. They do the damage and walk on to the next grift with a bank full of roubles.

It says a lot about her that her only question to Nichola Sturgeon was how to get in Vogue.

What that says about our society, politics and the conservative party as a whole is damning indeed.

Still, she could be the historical turning point we've all been waiting for. Five years from now, socialism will span the galaxy and Rico and A Red will be living in an enclave of Jersey and running a bakery owned by a shell corporation.

I was thinking before, an interesting thing with the Tories over the years is they've found ways to unite over the economy and other social aims, because they had to or they'd have been destroyed by their infighting over Europe. Now Europe is out of the way, I think the differences between the one nation Tories and the rest to the right are all matters that impact our economy and daily lives in a far more direct way than the European debate, which always seemed almost a distraction till it wasn't. As a result, they're just ripping themselves apart and what has been a useful "clean slate" with each change of leader in the last 12 years, they've been exposed now because none of their ideologies have worked and there's nothing for them to unite against, even the bogeyman Corbyn has gone.

Like section said yesterday, I find it a bit strange all these Tories coming out and saying they are all appalled at benefits not rising, and the rich getting richer whilst even more cuts are made, surely that is a right wingers wet dream?

I think it's possibly more down to her unpopularity, then her actual policies

I genuinely dislike this painting kwarteng as an idiot. He's not. He's spent the early part of his career working as an analyst at a number of  top capital markets firms including JPMorgan and his buddy Odey's hedgefund. He was perfectly placed to understand the impact of his unbudgeted budget and absolutely knew how the markets would react, making his friends billions while simultaneously destroying the pensions of everybody else. It was a deliberate act of destruction and we need to stop laughing at him and demand he is investigated for insider trading, misconduct in public office and treason for a deliberate act of financial terrorism against the state.

They say converts are the worst, she's converted from CND campaigner, to a liberal, to a Tory, to a libertarian. From a monarchy abolitionist to a monarchist. From a europhile to a brexiteer. About the only thing she hasn't converted from is being an absolute cunt.

Do you not think he realised then how much flak he would get?

Or did he just underestimate

 It?

The writing's on the wall, especially for red wall wankers. Live scenes from Tory HQ:

It looks to me like while people were feeling safe in their Tory house, giant car, driveway, private roads and schools they felt untouchable by the Tories. Now they've started attacking their core base to fund the banks etc they now feel as vulnerable as the plebs beneath them.

Anyone who thinks those who tread on people won't eventually tread on each other are living in cloud cuckoo land.

I think he thought he could do what he wants like most etonians and he could bring everyone into line - our best examples of that in the last 12 years of tory rule is cameron thinking he could just say "remain" and the nation would do so and absolutely everything Johnson did in his 3 years. He absolutely didn't expect his own and the press turning on him and for him not to be able to win the argument (politically). But he's achieved his objectives regardless - his mates have made billions in this market volatility, even if he gets fucked out now, he has his mates to fall back on.

On the other hand, I don't think Truss had a clue what was going on. She's just there to be a lightening rod.

The people and leaders of Englands closest neighbours will have noticed the warm welcoming words thrown towards Israel yesterday by Truss compered to the insulting way she spoke about the democratically elected heads of Scotland/Wales/France just a few weeks ago.

Here's Britain's diplomatic clown putting her foot in her mouth on the biggest Muslism channel in Europe; America and Australia. Shes a fucking idiot.

Her fucking face. How did she ever become Prime Minister?

I listened to that interview and I nearly threw up...zero redeeming qualities..at least Bojo had the canny ability to waffle on forever but some people say she can't finish a fcking sentence...starting one is a real struggle...she is toast...that lot will have her out ASAP, they wont risk their own skins for long.
