The other day he brought the FA Cup in to motivate them. It didn't work, so now he's taken a flame thrower to them.

I don't agree that Curtis is equal or greater in talent to Harvey. Harvey is younger a couple of years younger and already looks more accomplished.

 

I like Curtis but he doesn't impose himself enough and he's in danger of drifting into being a peripheral player.

I feel like it’s hard to even form a strong opinion on Curtis at the moment, such are the week to week fluctuations in his performance, different roles he plays in, the times he’s clearly playing well within himself and the seemingly regular interruptions.

What I said was talent in his feet. I agree Harvey is a more accomplished player at the moment but that's as much about his mental awareness, decision making and maturity as it is pure 'talent'.

 

Curtis is a ridiculously skilled player, but the precocious kid who first came onto the scene has been replaced by someone who seems to be trying too hard to be a 'team player'.

 

Harvey is ahead of him right now, by quite a bit. What I'm saying is don't dismiss the idea that Curtis takes another step and matches him, because he's got the ability. It's whether he can put it all together or not.

I've never seen Curtis on the right side, nor Elliott on the left. I don't think they're competing at all.

They are competing for a spot in midfield, but not the same position specifically. You have Fabinho, Hendo and Thiago. When one of them doesn't play, that opens up a spot which they are then competing for. Either Hendo or Thiago would switch sides depending on which one of Curtis or Harvey plays.

I don't think Hendo has ever played on the left either. I suppose you can move Thiago to the right.

 

It looks to me like we've got 2 zones, particularly since we changed the system to move Trent's position.

 

Left side is Thiago, Curtis

Right side is Hendo, Elliott

 

Ox can play both, and although we've tried Keita on the left, and he's shite there. We also seem to have settled on Milner being in the 6, although he can also play left side.

 

So it's probably more like to be:

 

Left side = Thiago, Oxlade, Curtis

Right side = Hendo, Elliott, Keita

The 6 = Fabinho, Milner, Morton

 

The only reason we can't tell is because of the unbelievable disruption we've had there all season.

Hendo was left against Chelsea, when Harvey got the nod to start. Hendo didn't look comfortable there at all from what I remember.
