Our best centre back pairing has been Matip and Lovren. Cant agree lovren should be dropped. Klavan's done more than well enough when he's come in but I wouldnt put him in ahead of Lovren right now.

Klavan and Lovren are much of muchness aren't they? They're decent defenders but I don't see them ever reaching the level where we call them one of the best in the league. They're much better players than Skrtel and Sakho mind you, but say if we had Virgil van Dijk partnering Matip all season, we'd be clear top of the league I reckon.

They don't have to be the best in the league though.  As long as we don't concede as many goals as the opposition in every game, and that's down to a whole team ethic, not just the central defenders.
