Some brutal penalties in that shoot-out. What the fuck were Zaza and Pelle doing? Best penalty I think was Draxler's - hit low with plenty of power, sending Buffon the wrong way and hitting the side netting.

 

I think Germany struggled in that game by going 3 at the back and trying to match the Italians for shape. While it meant the game was a tactical stalemate, it negated the effectiveness of a number of their own players.
