Selling Sakho

  1. 1. Would it be a mistake to sell him?

He's doing well for a club fighting relegation, yet we are fighting for a CL place at the same time. These supporters are probably creaming over Fat Sam while we have Herr Klopp. Which situation would you rather be in?

That cl spot would probably be secured by now if he was playing for us.

Why we keep saying he did something wrong when he they dropped the case, i dont understand.

Because he was taking pills without informing the club docotor - which would be in breach of his contract.

That's why people quite correctly, point out he'd done something wrong.

Shouldnt be short of offers in the Summer then....

If he maintains these types of performances for the most part,I imagine there will be a few.

That said, I can understand clubs' reluctance to take him after his extended period of not playing top-level games.

Palace will suit him fine. Give us £30m or thereabouts and they can keep him.

Thought when this was posted that figure was wildly optimistic.  Now, after 4 outstanding games for them, and not a word to the press about any of it, just doing it on the pitch, I wouldn't be surprised if we got near this amount.

If van Dijk is worth £50m then Sakho has to be worth at least £25m, even if it is a different situation due to us making it clear we want to sell.  If we can get a bidding war going then we actually might get very near that £30m figure you suggest.  And I think at this point I'd be very surprised if we got less than £20m, where two months ago I'd have snapped your hand off for that.

I like him. Hopefully he and Klopp can patch things up and we can have him back next season. The fact we only have Klaven as a backup at centre back is alarming so it makes no sense to exile Sakho if he's happy to stay.

I think Klavan has had some excellent games for us,  certainly as many as Matip.  I'm not sure Klopp would have Sakho back, which imo is a mistake.

Sakho back in with Matip. Lovren and Klavan as cover and Gomes out on loan for a season with Lucas as emergency.

Saves us money and the hassle. We can take stock again the summer of 2018.

I'm still irritated by that Karius experiment.

I hope it proves irrelevant at the end of the season.

What about all the strikers that failed to kill off them and other games. Migs made blunders that have cost us too. Csnt be blaming it on one player

I hear you, and there's hundreds of little moments in a football match that decide the outcome.

But I'm not blaming Karius.  I'm still irritated that Klopp took as long as he did.

Anyway, as I say, as long as we finish top 4 I'll forget all about it.

Part of being at a club is accepting whatever rules and disciplinary procedures are set down there and Sakho obviously pissed Klopp off so much he just couldnt take the risk to keep him. No problem with that. I knew that as soon as his name was mentioned so much on Skysports this thread would be added to significantly. He is playing for Crystal Palace not us,so fuck him(unless Klopp recalls him, then I will care about him again!)

As far as Klopp goes, Im pretty certain it boils down to him not trusting sakho any more. He fucked up massively in not asking the club about those supplements even if it turned out they were not a banned substance.

The stuff in the States was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Cant see any way back for him here unless interested club dont pony up the money the club wants for him.
