The Special One: The Dark Side of Jose Mourinho

It's dumb as nobody will move them to top four.  The team is the same, the manager is the same that won the league last year.   Unless Mourinho has suffered a total meltdown, the decision is dumb.  Short term Russkie bullshit.

Yes, the mega criminal has an option to throw 20 million a season to Guardiola.  But that is also dumb, not football anymore, and again 2-3 seasons max, and another dude in.  For now they need a "Rafa" to sort things out.  I think most of those are things that maybe would not need sorting out, just waiting out.   Normal Mourinho would have got them around 5-6 in the league from where they are now.  That's the max for anyone else.

The question is if the "normal Mourinho" exists anymore.  And if he could have built something, for once, this was probably his chance.

Then again, they all deserve each other at Chelski...

Same team that won the league last year yet are where they are now. How the fuck is it dumb to think the Manager is having a negative impact? I certainly wouldn't rule them out of the Top 4, they're more than capable of putting a run together. How's it short term Russkie bullsit, they've gave him plenty of time to turn it round, the final nail was his comments after the match about the players. He's lost the players & there was only one outcome after that. Short term? Why? Getting someone in temp until big names become available? Did you say the same when Kenny was named Caretaker? You're talking as much bullshit as JermainePennant

I didn't say that, Simeone or Hiddink would both do well imo but long term they will not have a team as strong as the ones Jose has had at cfc. When he gets it right Chelsea run away with the league and the title race is boring, under those two I don't see that being the case.

BR would have a different philosophy and with the players they have and could sign he could potentially do something big there imo considering what he did when he had top players at LFC.Instead of having a poor mans Mourinho they would have a poor mans Guardiola.

People like to mock BR but let's see how a world class manager like Klopp compares in a couple of years time, it took BR six months to find the answer to beating the small teams while past managers like Evans, GH and Rafa never did.As I've said a lot Rodgers time here will look a lot better in a few years time.

He took a team with Lukaku, De Bruyne, Cech, David Luiz and Mata and he replaced them with Cuadrado, Salah, Baba Rahman, Begovic, Djilobodji and Falcao.

If he would of just kept the team as it was when he took over they'd be competing for titles now, which is why it's so hilarious. As for Rodgers doing something big there, what gives you the impression that he's capable of picking a player in the £20m and above category? every single signing £20m plus here has been an unmitigated disaster, i've never seen a manager so bad with money, he's the anti Rafa.

He's never going back to Real, they'd give it to Zidane before him.

A Spanish journo said on R5 this morning, before the sacking, many at Real Madrid would welcome him back.

Mourinho won the League Title with them and made excellent profits from the CL.

By reaching three semi-finals, RM avoided paying the enormous bonus payments due for making the final or winning it.

The journo claimed the various unsavoury incidents, eg eye-poking, would be lightly dismissed and overlooked.

He also said Raffa was a dead-man walking with the club looking for a replacement.

It's unbelievable isn't it... They won the the league last year, you would've thought the goodwill would've lasted more than half a season. They're really a bunch of cunts, Jose included.

I don't know - this time last season, Liverpool weren't as shite as Chelsea are now and there were plenty round here who were ignoring the previous season and calling for Brendan's head on a plate.

It's a results game.  Not pretty, but it is what it is.

We didn't win the league though. They're still champions, and they won their CL group.

Which sort of makes it all less forgivable.

Rodgers lost his two best players from the Almost Champions (one sold, one to injury).  Mourinho lost no senior players from the actual champions, but spent more than £60m on "improving" the squad.

The buck has to stop somewhere.

He's proven that he could produce results. This drop in form, as hilarious as it is, isn't the norm for him. He deserves to at least finish the season. Afterall, we gave Rodgers 3 years without anything to show for it.

Personally, I was hoping they'd give him until March and a ritual humiliation at Anfield.

Whoever Chelsea bring in won't be as good as Mourinho & they'll still have a squad full of wankers that down tools as they've clearly done this season.  They'll probably see an instant upturn in short term results but they've lost one of the best managers in the world for it to happen.
