Not in this life-time. Only teams in the PL I wouldn't mind seeing do well in a European competition are Southampton and Swansea but I'm sure in time they'll soon do something that irks me and I'll dislike them too.

Does anybody use twitter frequently?  I had mates who are United fans celebrating Ba's goal yesterday, fuck that.  I hope every English club are knocked out during the group stages. 

 

The only reason I was a little happy when Ba bagged yesterday was because it means our game against those fucking horrible plastic flag waving chavs is sandwiched in between their 2 Champions League semis - which can't be bad for us.

At least one of them goes regularly, but he is a bit mental. I think you're right with the pattern generally though.

 

Lots of Liverpool fans want other English teams to do well, they're the sort that ring up 606 and complain about how many foreigners there are in the game, and don't understand why other reds disliked Hodgson on a personal level (as well as, obviously, on a professional level).

The only thing that would slightly soften the blow of Man United winning it this season (extremely unlikely of course) would be if Everton finished fourth - thus missing out.

 

Chelsea winning it in 2012 was bad, but I felt it was always going to happen eventually given the money they've spent. It'd be worse this year if they won it given their manager and the fact it'd give them more of a standing in European football.

 

Thankfully I can't see either English team overcoming Barcelona/Atletico, Madrid or Munich.
