The sort of night that made United look like a small club.

Yeah, but if you thought that was good, you should check out what Hodgson did with Fulham.

In saying that it was one of the most piss weak penalties ever. He bottled it the poor lad. Happens even to the best of them.

Pirlo's was just as bad, Shevchenko's was a carbon copy of it. both of their faces before the penalty had miss written all over them, what i never understand is if you are seriously nervous and feeling the pressure in that situation just put your laces through the ball as hard as you can, saying that though Serginho had that strategy and blazed it over but that type of penatly will work many more times than those pathetic efforts from Pirlo and Shevchenko.

I watched the final last week again for the first time in a couple of years, what stuck out to me was when Milan were lined up at teh start of the match for the anthem, world class player after world class player, unbelievable collection of players Milan had then, the only weak link if there was one was the goalkeeper.

Cafu, Nesta, Stam and Maldini is just a ridiculous back 4, all world class players for most if not all their careers, same goes for the midfield, Gattuso, Seedorf, Kaka and Pirlo, just maybe if you want to be picky Gattuso is the weak link amongst that lot but he was a vital cog in that team and great at what he was meant to do, also won the World Cup a year later, Shevchenko and Crespo were obviously 2 fantastic strikers in their day to, in particular Shevchenko pre Chelsea.

Still beggars belief what we managed to do that night.
