'jelavic is better and has got goals in him, suarez doesnt' - everton fans last season

Not just Evertonians, either. Have a look back on here about how shit Suarez's finishing is.

Some players have one fantastic season, the very best players have good seasons year in year out.

Suarez is a much better player than Jelavic, and whilst it's clear he's not an out and out finisher, he can actually finish - his goal tally demonstrates that.

This is one of the problems of making judgments about players after 1 season. Michu is the current 'hotshot' of that ilk, who may, or may not, go on to repeat his success next season.

To be fair to Jelavic, he's playing in a (dare I say) more negative team than Liverpool, and possibly doesn't get as many chances at the moment.

Also, last year, Suarez wasn't the lone frontman, so again, he wasn't necessarily the focal point for goals (even though he got a few!)

I still think Liverpool are more attack minded than Everton, and with Suarez as the focal point, he's going to get more chances and score more. The fact he's a better player too is icing on the cake.
