Anyone else heard the Drogba to LFC rumour? It sounds absurd but a couple of people who don't knowingly post silly stories have said they've heard it's being seriously considered.

He's definitely changed the last couple of seasons, he's defo not as much as a cheating cunt as he's been in the past... The turning point for me was a tackle by Jamie on him and rather than roll around the floor pretending he'd been shot, he got up, helped Jamie up and patted him on back for a good challenge..

Actually, the real turning point may have been the "It's a fackin' disgwace!" stuff back in 2009. It has certainly been apparent that he's toned down the dramatics quite a lot since then.

Liked that too. I think it was half out of respect because Carra had somehow denied him with a great tackle of what was an almost certain goal. Still good to see though. He did have malaria though at that point if I remember rightly, so maybe he just couldn't be arsed with the theatrics!

Not sure if he'll ever have the touch and skill Drogba has, but he could come close if he carries on improving. Just haven't seen enough of him to have a proper idea. Looking forward to seeing him next season.

Drogba is much quicker and has a far better touch and all-round skill.

I agree on the pace comment, but I do think his touch, hold up play, and all around game will improve as he adpats himself more to pass and moving philosophy that we are so keen on using.

 

Newcastle fans (mates of mine) actually think he will be the new Alan Shearer. I think he will improve and become a great player. He also has a great shot on him.

 

EDIT: Not so long ago Kuyt had a horrible first touch but then become our most consistent goal scorer.

With regards to Carroll, we'll have a better idea of what type of player he can be when a) he's fully fit and b) we have a set-up that brings the best out of him.
