Chip shop girl: Yes sir, what can I get you?

Fat Sam: One battered cod, a large battered chips, a pot of battered peas, half a jar of battered gherkins, 1 jar of battered pickled onions, 2 battered pies and 3 battered sausages. Oh, and if you can chuck in a bucket of fried batter.

All I've seen on faceaids all day is Evertonians sharing the link to that Norwegian fan who called his daughter YNWA. They aren't obsessed with us though.

Loads of them went through a phase of calling their daughters Eve Toni Ann a few years ago. A fella I used to play footy with did it and got the birth announced over the blueshite Tannoy.

I did tell him that Tannoy was a brand name and he should have said public address system.

Why do they think this new stadium is going to transform all their woes. They will still be Everton. Players don't give a shit about a new stadium they want money and success and Everton can't fill the stadium they have now so when they are paying even more for tickets and even more seats are empty it will be a weight around their necks. Build it I hope it sinks them.

The fundamental problem with Everton is the things they think are strengths are actually weaknesses. A parochial outlook, ambitions that only extend to one-upmanship over us etc.

They don't present an image of dynamism and ambition that even some much smaller clubs do, and first and foremost that's what ambitious players want to see.
