Echo all the comments.

I just hope if a few results don't go our way, the minority of cunts will be calling for his head.

This man is Liverpool FC, a true great of our club, with all the philosophies instilled into him and a real connection with the players and fans. We couldn't ask for any more.

I didn't believe it till I saw the Ryan Babel tweet. Now he has confirmed it I am happier than a pig in shit. Can we all finally get behind the club and our new owners now they have done the right thing and can we please not let Kenny's reputation be soured in the event it doesn't work out? Not that I am saying it won't, just in case it doesn't. The guy is my all time hero and I would hate to see him hounded out or made to be seen as a villain if things go wrong.

what is it you think Kenny will have lost from not having been a manager for the last decade?

Your joking right? Well for one football isnt static. It is always evolving and changing and as such managers must keep up with that.

There is plenty of other arguments but there not even worth discussing.

Guest San Don

Im on a rollercoaster of emotion. I feel sick. I feel elated. I feel sad. I feel happy.

I feel sick because a part of the Liverpool way died sometime between last night and this morning. And I was complicit in it.

I wanted hodgson out because his results have shown he just isnt the right man for us. But then again, he hasnt had much time despite what we may all think and say on this forum. He hasnt had the budget his predecessors enjoyed at the start of their tenure. Instead, he had to live off the scraps that benitez was expected to use to maintain and take the club forward (read that bit carefully please, its not a dig at benitez!).

I feel elated cos at last, the boil has been lanced. The pain is released and the healing can begin. And what a beginning, Dalglish is back and if that doesnt wipe the smile off ferguson's mush and those smirking hordes who support united, I dont think they know what's around the corner.

But, Dalglish isnt a magic wand. If the players dont perform now, the hostility directed at the departed hodgson will come there way.

Its clear from hodgson's parting comments that, he didnt have the support or 'loyalty' from some players in the dressing room. I dont think its hard to fathom out who some of those are.

Hodgosn's departure from Anfield should be followed by some players who frankly arent good enough or, have shown a shit attitude to wearing the shirt. And any player who doesnt want to be here should be told, they will be shipped out just as soon as an offer that matches our valuation of them is met.

I feel sad because we're now almost at the level of other supporters now. Petitions and painting slogans on training ground walls? Fuck that off big time. If we ever have hope of regaining our pride we need to ditch that kind of shit pronto.

But, finally, I feel happy because we can at last move forward. Its a new day and a new start. Hopefully this isnt going to be a false dawn.

Would never EVER happen. And i dont know about anyone else on hear but if i even heard so much as a whisper of stuff like that, they would be hell to pay.

I dont honestly think that needs worrying about.

Yer only gonna have complete arseholes or WUMs doing any of that shit, hopefully a good positive, critical approach will be takeowards the football for the rest of the season. Things can only get better, at least he understands the club and the fans.

Doesn't need worrying about at all, think to the last we're all made up with this, we'll all stick with him through thick and thin whatever happens.

Agreed, and the King has too much dignity anyway: if in the worst scenario things don't work out, he wouldn't cling on with claims of "35 years of experience" etc, but he would do the decent thing. But I only want to think about it being a fucking success now.

Beautiful scenario that is now in play! All the best to Kenny!

Delighted at the decisions made. The resultant outcome is of course superb, but additionally it also tells us something about NESV. They have clearly demonstrated that they are prepared to take direct action when necessary and that they will take heed of the fan's view. Bodes well for the future. A future that just got alot brighter!

Painting on the walls happened a lomg time ago, like it or not football has changed, as far as groups of fans go, Liverpool fans still have something special, they still care enough about the team. Look at the standards corrupted shirts, then look at the green and white scarves on sale at old trafford tomorrow.

What I'm looking forward to seeing is the changes that Kenny will make in regards to personnel and tactical set up.

It's not like he's been on the outside looking in, he has been part of the club again long enough to have a good idea about who is who and what is what.

Those of us who are a certain age will remember when Souness got the push and Roy took charge.

The first thing he did was reinstate Whelan to the midfield in a 1-0 home win over Coventry and we all of a sudden looked more solid, on the back of a 2-2 draw away at Norwich who were a good side then and had Sutton harming defences.

What he did was instantly change the playing style for the good of the team rather than on the basis of petty personal squabbes and favourites.

I'm thinking that Kenny will adjust the system pretty much straight away and it will be interesting to see who plays where in the first game at home vs the BlueShite.

That will be a massive indication as to who will be seen as part of the future plans and who will be looking at finding a new club...(not just the first game, but that will be the first indicator). Playing men in their specialist and best positions will be a start.

The whole has been less than the sum of the parts for too long now and if Kenny can rectify that he will have fufilled my remit for him.
