Now I'd like to think that even if moves were afoot to replace Hodgson, the new owners would at least have enough class about them to do things in the right way.

I don't believe this rumour, but I would seriously hope we would never go down the cloak and dagger route when replacing a manager, especially not by telling him he's fine one minute and getting involved in advanced negotiations with another at the same time.

When we get a new manager, can we please have one that at least MOST fans can spell correctly?

Frank isn't much harder to spell than Rafa or Roy really...I think most would cope.

I'm more concerned about his ability to win matches, which seems to be in question at the moment.

Is it just me that finds something deliciously funny about the concept of Tomkins on Twitter?

I can imagine the utter frustration he must feel trying to shorten every single one of his epic monologues.

I'm sure it must have been asked before, but how does Tomkins cope with the limitations of Twitter?

To be honest I think he's doing very well. Seems like the Twitter word limit is the perfect "editor" for him. He's been very good for the last couple of weeks with the owner-situaton.

Note too sure what I think of Rijkaard. I liked how his Barcelona team played. But was that because of all the talent at his disposal, so he couldn't really fail? Or does he deserve credit for setting the team up, sending them out, winning the European Cup and winning a couple of league titles?

If we do get Rijkaard then I will feel better if Henk Ten Cate comes with him. I think that double act - good cop, bad cop - is stronger.
