Great professional performance - best in Europe so far. Fabio was class and snuffed out grandad robben, Xabi quality throughout, and Yossi got the reward he deserved.

Great result! I was obviously well chuffed when we scored, but when Torres went off I think I was more pissed off with Rafa than I've ever been, wierdly enough. All I was thinking from when he went off until we scored was something like "I was starting to enjoy this match, until massive buzzkill Rafa brought off Torres." Was well annoyed, and Torres didn't look happy either, but we got the result, so I'm not gonna complain. It was wierd why he came off for Babel though so early, and he didn't look injured.

 

Ah and as for the people saying that Torres/Babel did nothing upfront : like I've said for ages, and like I've thought was way too obvious : it's the fucking supply! It's not whoever's upfront that's fucking things up, it seems to be that we just cannot supply our frontmen well enough at all most of the time.

 

Like we had Yossi, but he just seems to go on run after run and keep the ball way too much to actually supply well enough. If he had a better eye for a pass he'd probably be one of our best players by far. Still though, nice one to him for scoring, and I hope we can get another in the first half at Anfield to really start putting this tie to an end.

Sky before the game said it would be a really difficult task for Liverpool.

 

We nulify them and win, then they go on about how poor Real Madrid were.

No, he should have give them a straight answer. Typical of the way the club is run at the moment though, all in it for themselves.
