Cheers Mark. I did see the lad off his line a few seconds earlier so thought if I get the ball in a decent position I'd try it and it came off. It was a very close game and could have gone either way. Nigel is fucking impossible to keep track of at times and was getting shots in he had no right to from ridiculous angles and was their best player along with Ted I thought. Thought Al T&B had a solid game at the back as well and Al Morgan has a knack of getting away from players when he has no right to at times. Ste and Franny linked up well a lot as well. Thought the ginger lad settled after a understandably ropy start considering he didn't know many lads there as well.

 

Our team were all class in their own way. Muller and Grazy were rocks and they always use the ball well. Ged defended well blocking and tackling and I thought Paul had his best game yet and one of his goals was class when he went past a few players. Dave and Rob linked up really well as the game went on and Dave scored two great headers. Mark got about the pitch well as usual and I always like being on his team for his work rate he gets through.

 

Was an enjoyably competitive game with some great football from both sides.

Good game lads, made up to be back, sorting my fitness out now so will hopefully put a bit more of a shift in next time. Johns goal was top draw, inch perfect, mom for them was Dave closely followed be C.Miller, for us Nige but everyone played well I thought.

Also, Muzza's brother and all his mates, who I play footy with on a Tuesday, are interested in getting an eleven-a-side game going, and hopefully making it a monthly thing. Just waiting for them to sort out a date that they can get a team together, as we won't have a problem doing so, and then we'll get a pitch booked, etc.
