This is simply hilarious, I think I’lleave it here.

Klopp did not have a problem playing him four times in 10 days before the international break, he’s not just back from injury either, he’s been back for two months now.

Yes he’s been out for months with a shoulder injury, it basically means he should be about as fresh as a player is in September.

People basically talk a lot of fuckin nonsense in this thread. You dont stop playing games because you are afraid of getting injured, then you basically have to stop training as well. The risk is the same.

Be interesting to see what kind of reaction there is if Walker and/or Stones play on Sunday. Surely faking injury for the national team is worse than change the colour of the national team cross?

Fair play to them if so. Wish some of ours followed suit.

That's on the boss not the players. Saka, as an example obviously made up an injury to stay away, that's different from faking an injury after 10 minutes 2 games in a row. That throws up all sorts of problems that could be avoided by not being a cunt. Hopefully they're both really patriotic and their injuries are of the serious nature.

Can't see Stones going through the palaver of starting a match and then doing some amateur dramatics after 15 minutes.Would have been far easier to 'feel it a bit' in training.  He probably felt a slight twinge and opted for caution.

Stones was probably genuine given the circumstances. No way Walker’s was.

I've always said we are too honest with our players when it comes to international's not just recently but way back in the 90's also. Owen played way too much for england when he was not 100%. What was it Giggs never played a friendly for wales and the mancs used to regularly withdraw players for phantom injuries, international football is so shit and just not worth it.

I’ll try again, this time even more obvious.

Is Andy Robertson picking the Scotland team? Is Andy Robertson the one who makes the subs n the Scotland team?

The answer is no.

You would think this was fuckin obvious, but going by some of the posts in this thread  and another thread you would think he was playing manager.

Spot on, Code.

The captain of the side isn't going to pull out of games. Especially coming up to a major tournament.

Roméo Lavia has been ruled out for the rest of the season at Chelsea.

That looks a proper bullet dodged, 32 minutes is his total playing time for this season!

Absolutely critical year of development in what is already a short career lost too. I’d have similar concerns about Bajectic.

Did not Van Dijk and Dom also play two full 90 minutes as captains?

I can only assume they are also pricks?

Yep. From my point of view, anyway. But my point of view is that, outside of tournaments, international football is a waste of time. Understandably, they feel differently, which is their perogative. They must know how congested the fixture list is coming up though. Surely a bit of common sense should apply.

When you get injured because of over playing in 2 meaningless games you’re wrong. That’s a fact.

You’re not a prick, you just look silly and I’m sure he’s mad about himself.

I understand He wanted to play but that was not the right call, and he penalised his team because he’s our best left-back.

Out of interest, how committed are the Norwegian stars to their national cause?

International football is generally so shit these days, a side should be competitive with a couple of decent players - never mind a couple of world class ones. But Norway haven't got close to qualifying for anything recently, have they?

They've qualified for one international tournament this century and that was Euro 2000. Outside of a 6 year period of 1994 amd 2000 they've never qualified for anything

Norway are fuckin shite, but the players play the games, all of Haaland, Ødegaard and Sørloth played both games this week.

Norway used to have good defenders, now they are all shite.

We also have a manager stuck in a style that was washed up 15 years ago.

The Spanish prosecutor has filed a complaint against the Spanish FA chief Luis Rubiales for sexual assault and coercion.

It comes after Jenni Hermoso filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office on Wednesday.

With the complaint, Rubiales could face criminal charges

Spanish prosecutors are seeking a prison term of two years and six months for former soccer chief Luis Rubiales for giving an unwanted kiss to star forward Jennifer Hermoso after Spain’s World Cup victory.

The Public Ministry has formally accused Rubiales, the disgraced former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), of sexual assault for kissing Hermoso “without consent or acceptance.”

Rubiales described the kiss as “mutual” – a claim Hermoso has strongly denied – and said he faces “excessive persecution” from authorities.

In addition to the prison sentence, prosecutors have also asked for a supervised release for two years, a ban on communicating with Hermoso or coming within 200 meters of her for four years – as well as $54,100 in compensation.

Prosecutors have also accused Spain’s former women’s soccer coach Jorge Vilda, Spanish national team director Albert Luque, and the RFEF marketing director Rubén Rivera, of allegedly pressuring Hermoso to justify the kiss.

All four men are requested to compensate Hermoso with another $54,100.
