Is this why Salah is always injured, or Robbo or Virg or Trent (barring his current malady) or why big bad dom will never be injured a single day while he's at this club?

Some footballers are pussies, some aren't, simple as that.

Some footballers are fortunate.

Yeah some are pussies, Sturridge deffo was for example, it was psychological with him, and some cant have their bodies pushed hard. Robertson is like an old fashioned fullback, Virgil is well built and so is Salah.

Trents had a few niggles of late.

If TAA is unfit too as seems to be the thought - then it is going to be interesting to see how we line up...

Gomez is both the RB and centre half cover.

VVD suspended.

So potentially would have to be Gomez at RB and Matip and Quansah as centre halves....although question marks over  Quansah too as he pulled out of Ingerlund u20 set up.

Another option is that we could play Tsimikas at Right back. Not ideal but he's more similar in style to Trent.

I'm sure if Trent has a hamstring injury, he'll be out 4-6 weeks like most people.

How long is konate out for? I don't even know what's wrong with him.

No official word on TAA so not sure.

Konate - the french seemed to shed light on his issue....

Injury update: Trent Alexander-Arnold set to miss Wolves clash, Konate and Nunez latest

Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss Liverpool’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday due to injury.

The vice-captain is recovering from a hamstring issue sustained in the latter stages of the Reds’ 3-0 win over Aston Villa last time out.

Jürgen Klopp told his pre-match press conference: “[There is] no concern. He is not available, we knew that before.

“He didn’t train with the team once yet and will take a little bit. It is not the worst hamstring injury you can have but it’s a hamstring injury and they barely heal in two weeks - and this one didn’t, either.

“As he is running already, we hope he can start ball work early next week and then we will see and go from there.”

Offering an update on the other fitness concerns within his squad, Klopp had positive news on several fronts, with Ibrahima Konate and Darwin Nunez set to be available for the fixture at Molineux.

"Thiago is running, but that’s it,” added the boss. “Ibou trained for two days with the team.

"[Darwin Nunez] I didn’t see him yet, but we obviously we had contact and he said it was fine, but we will see that now and make a couple of decisions there. Darwin should be fine.

"[Jarell Quansah] trained the full week with us, so it was obviously then enough time to rest. Stefan had a good camp with the [Spain] U21s, played only a few minutes but [it] helped him anyway. I think that’s it."

From Echo coverage of training session today:

The Liverpool players have now emerged at the AXA Training Centre.

All the usual suspects are present, except for Thiago and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Both players are currently nursing injury issues and don't appear to be part of the training session.

I reckon the Trent one is more serious than they are letting on. Wouldn't surprise me if he's not back until after the next International break.

He had a hamstring injury 2.5 weeks ago, 3 weeks would be the absolute minimum for any hammy injury.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has upped his recovery from a recent hamstring injury but will miss out on Liverpool's Carabao Cup tie against Leicester City - while Thiago Alcantara is yet to return to training.

Lijnders also provided an update on Thiago's return to full fitness, with the Spaniard having not featured for the Reds since April's 2-1 victory at West Ham United.

He said: "We've missed Thiago, no? He makes the ball arrive in the right spaces. We want him back. He's still not back in training but he's healing. Time will tell how that goes."

It is just funny now.

Honestly, what does that even mean?! Time will tell? It's a good job we don't hire loads of medical professionals to be on top of this stuff or we might start looking a bit daft.
