How many windows have we had under FSG where they've done the absolute minimum or even less than expected because this feels all to familiar the ease with which they'll risk writing off seasons rather than writing cheques.

Because they are garbage owners and always have been. They had a plan to grow the Club's value and they have achieved it with a few bonuses on the way. They are now detached.

I think the issue is that we know what we have doesn't work, so we are effectively writing off this season by doing nothing.

We've made a decision to do nothing rather than even try and fix the problem.

But if you buy clearly the wrong players then you're no better off, arguably you're worse off.

It'd be different if, for example, we took a chance on on a mobile midfielder who likes a tackle. In that scenario you could realistically say you tried to fix the problem whether it worked or not.

I don't get all the knickers in a twist going on. It's been obvious for weeks we weren't signing a midfielder. Now we have people who have hated FSG for years and others that already written off the season crying like babies. This isn't news, our model is clear we won't take just anyone.

All the twitter virgins would be pulling their tiny plums if we signed Gakpo today.

I understand having a philosophy and only going for the right man. However football is not static, rivals are always moving to improve, and if we don't choose the right balance between pragmatism and this so called model, we run the risk of having fucking shit seasons like this one.

Our team lacks energy, a new face in midfield would have absolutely helped.

I don't dispute that, I just get the hissy fits by those that have accepted and "told us so" repeatedly. Are lack of activity is not a surprise to anyone.

All this reacting to unforeseen developments nonsense other clubs do will never catch on.

Major injury to a vital player? Who would sign a replacement? Only fools would, not the super smart red faced turtle in the corner of the room!

We won't just take anyone! Arthur Mello springs to mind, the last shit storm we got Ben Davies and Obak. Is Carvalho good value or much sought after its nonsense we get who we want or no one. Mane nor Salah where not first choice. We wanted Tchoumeni he wanted Madrid so we just decide there's no other midfielders in and send a scout to find a chosen one and pray he wants us too. You have to be flexible and proactive in football.

Feel sorry for Klopp to some degree. Its fucking obvious the twats running the club have zero ambition apart from the ambition of growing the balance sheet and P&L.

They've taken the piss since 2018 and need to be called out and told to fuck off. Its not going to be long before the atmosphere in the ground turns on them.

3rd highest earners in world football, 5 years of continued success and yet we dont have a pot to piss in?

It doesn't add up and quite frankly fucking stinks.

Can't wait until the summer when the excuses of no CL football means even less to spend start getting leaked and more bullshit stories of takeovers start appearing as another excise to not spend.

The point is that we've already got the wrong players here and we're prepared to stick with them even though we know that they don't work.

I don't believe that there isn't one single player that could have improved our midfield this January.

They’ve got the sack the manager card to play first, if they preposterously use the lack of CL for spending less rather than far more this coming summer and next season goes badly. They’d get away with it with enough people to make it worth their while if they don’t want to sell.
