It is really hard, way harder than previous ones because I don't think there's anything to choose between them. With the previous ones there were always some really obvious choices. I don't think there is this time, you can make a compelling argument for any one of them.

I'll vote for Scott too I think, not least because I need to get him in there so I can add Clemence. I might just have to add him to the next lot of nominees regardless, even if it means having two keepers on the list.

I was looking at the appearances list and Clemence is 4th. That shocked me.

I agree with that. Nothing really between them.

I went with Fowler, Whelan, Kennedy and McDermott.

Terry Mac was my first real favourite player. Before him, I didn't have a favourite, more just liked them all and idolised Shanks.

Robbie was just a brilliant player. Great lad as well who never lost sight of where he was from.

Finally, the last two. I'm from a large mixed family of red and blue. My Da is a bluenose and my mum a red. My older brother's favourite player was Ray Kennedy, so being the little brother twat that I was I never took to him at the time. Probably the main reason, Whelan became my favourite player. In reality, they were two outstanding players. My dad loved Kennedy and he's a blue. Similarly, he loved Whelan. Good player as a lad so always took his opinions seriously. He's 92 next birthday and still cheers on Liverpool after Everton. The last of the old school Blues but I guess that's for another thread.

Didn't want to have a two gap in the "Class of....(insert year)" so as explained above, we'll make this 2020 and then do another couple over the next six months or so to get back on schedule.

I remember reading posts like that about magnet draws.
