Time travel films and television programmes

There's an original star trek episode called City on the Edge of Forever.

McCoy travels back in time and saves Joan Collins from being run over. She's a peace activist and it turns out her survival delays America entering the war and the Germans win.

Spock and Kirk follow him back but don't know what damage he's done at this point. Collins runs a hostel and takes them in and falls for Kirk (obvs) and vice versa. Spock figures out what's happened to the timeline and tells Kirk he has to let her get run over, which he does, last scene is Kirk stopping McCoy from saving her with his face burried in his shoulder upset.

Wonderful stuff, Star Trek and science fiction at its very best.
