Any character that gets killed off for real life rather than story reasons.

Jimmy Darmody in Boardwalk Empire - Michael Pitt is apparently really difficult to work with.

Allen Doyle in Angel - Glenn Quinn had a huge drug problem which killed him a few years later.

Great shout. Was a really good character and didn't realise until later down the line why he was got rid of so soon.

I think Michael Pitt is a pretty meh actor so I hope he doesn't go all drama queen on set. You'd think Buscemi would be awkward considering his status,but it doesn't appear to be so.

They stopped making Bonanza when Dan Blocker (Hoss) died.

I was genuinely upset when Bobby Simone died on NYPD Blue, I didn't expect that.

25 years later I'm still annoyed that Hicks dies off screen between Aliens and Alien3

I heard a little rumour that maybe he didn't. Well, at least if a new Alien movie is made it may pick up from Aliens and pretend like Alien 3 didn't exist.
