Big fan of his. Best possible like-for-like replacement for Phil.

I like that Veartti from PSG/Italy. Looks so comfortable on the ball and has a great engine prowling that CM but getting forward.

He's pretty much the best cm in the world alongside Modric at the moment.

Not really watched much French football this season, he is a class above though.

Had loads of strapping on his hamstring, so hopefully it was an existing problem. Will make Shitcoat's anger all the more amusing.

Especially being as Jones stayed on after the initial bout of limping.

Spare a tbought for a few of the UK-based Aussies this week. Flying from the UK to Honduras for the 1st leg, then a trip to Australia for the return leg on Wednesday before being back in the UK again for next weekend's games!

Professional or not, a round-the-world flight with a couple of high-stakes games thrown in has to be brutal on the body, especially for those usually starting for their respective teams.

Situations like this are how physios earn their pay, I suppose.

New Zealand as well playing Peru in Auckland then Lima.

The bitters will be back on the "pickford is the greatest keeper in the history of the universe" lines again. Made 2 decent saves which he should have made.

There's was one against Stoke in the first game of the season and they were going on about it being as good as Gordon Banks' save from Pele. When it got shown it was at waist height near the centre of the goal but he chose to palm it away for a corner.

While far from brilliant, it's actually been a better game than any of England's qualifiers.

The young lads haven't been that bad, Germany just using it as a kick about though and realistically should be ahead. The pundits forget that this is far from Germany's starting 11.
