That was professional.

We were miles the better team, but we still had to make it count on the scoresheet, and we did.  Hugely encouraging signs.  Going forward we look truly magnificent, doesn't matter who's in there all the interchange and pace and menace, it's brilliant.

A couple of small negatives, though I'm loathe to be negative after a performance and result like that one:

Karius is good, and obviously much better distributing the ball than Mignolet.  But I don't think he's quuuuiiite as good as he thinks he is, and it's going to get him in trouble at some point this season.  Just a bit of a worry, needs to pick his spots a bit better, his touch let him down in the preseason and we all thought it was a one-off, but here there were a couple of poor touches/underweighted passes that make me think he needs to up his concentration.

Can is rusty.  Like, really, really rusty.  Great player, in my opinion our best all-around midfielder, but tonight he was off his game badly.  A compilation of all his touches would be shocking.  Hopefully he can get some minutes here and there when we've already settled games and play himself back into form, because that was ugly.

That said, overall we were very good.  Those little notes aside, we were thoroughly better and at no point was the outcome in serious doubt.

Listening to the game on Radio 2 with Peter Jones commentating.

What a voice he had , loved his commentary. Brings back a lot of happy memories with the Reds when we were successful.

Hillsborough apart obviously.

Great memories - loved listening to Peter

This stream is hilarious, showing the camera swaying around between interviews.  Klopp, thinking the camera is off:

"I can't believe they didn't show this game!  In Germany, they show every fucking game!"

The Sky cameraman waiting for the interview apologised, funny to see the behind-the-scenes bit there.
