Karius and Grujic, please.

Ings, too.

Whisper it - I also think we should play the platinum chimp. He needs to get some games, somewhere, and I don't trust him against any Premier League teams.

Yeah... we played a similar side last season against PL sides and we managed a couple of wins.

He should. From a purely footballing perspective, that's a no-brainer.

It will speak volumes if he doesn't.

il be amazed if he plays. And id also love to know what went on in America.

The 23s are away at Spurs on Monday evening, so that'll give us an idea of any youngsters that may be involved in this.

I'd certainly start with Lovren & Matip - The more game time they get alongside each other, the better.

Moreno gets a run for me, with Milner switching to right back to give Clyne a night off.

Ings & Origi need game time.

Karius & Grujic to make their first competitive starts.

              Karius

Milner Matip Lovren Moreno

             Stewart

    Henderson    Grujic

Origi        Ings      Coutinho

Subs: Mignolet, Klavan, Lucas, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Sturridge.

Derby have had an awful start, 1 win, 3 draws and 4 defeats in the league and only 2 league goals scored. They only managed to scrape past Carlisle in the last round too after a 1-1 draw, winning 14-13 on penalties.

They will no doubt raise their game for this but we really should be able to make 5 or 6 changes and still win this one without too much fuss. Starts for Karius, Ings, Origi and Gruijic and Can if he's fit but otherwise business as usual (including Stewart bossing the last 3 minutes).

Sturridge wasn't training with the rest of them today.

Sakho continues to train with first team which must mean he has a chance of playing some football. Can't see Klopp having him anywhere near it if he thought it was detrimental.

With a new keeper expected, I wouldn't fuck around with centre backs unless we have to. Moreno and Randall in, Can in for wijnaldum (and maybe rest lallana too), origi for sturridge.
