New stands don't pay for themselves. Jordan Rossiter paid for an exit sign.

Finally net profit again! I always knew we'd find a better manager than Benítez in the end.

Add c £100 m. in TV income. Awful.

Klopp's inbetween a rock and a hard place. If he peddles what must be the party line (FSG have shown 0 interest in investing above-the-line under any previous manager; why would it be different here?), he'll come under pressure if the season unravels admist injuries and broken down players. But the blame absolutely does not lie at his door.

If we don't strengthen and god forbid we end up outside the top 4 and trophy less those stingy owners will not like the response they receive from the fans.

TV deals pay for new stands too. Ticket prices are to blame for no more expansion.

I know. That is exactly where the tv money went. As you say they won't expand more unless the tickets go up. One might think despite getting us for a song they lack ambition and are happy to make a tidy profit. A shame considering how close we have been in the last few years to trophies. Makes you wonder what a bit more quality on the pitch would have brought.

Getting CL we are told attracts players and keeps players happy ( not Suarez ) so does a large wage. Maybe speculating now to guarantee CL might be worth it. That is unless you are happy ticking over and growing the off the field incomings and pocketing huge tv deals.

Klopp should not be stubborn and tell them to spend. It will hurt us badly missing out from where we are. My opinion has changed since before the Plymouth game. A tiring squad with a trustable core of 15/16 players is not enough. Especially as some are made of Pringles.

It's not like we have to shell out 120+ million either like Chelsea, City and the Mancs. Add 2 quality players and one good squad player to it all and we could easily piss top 4 and win a trophy under Klopp's leadership. It seems that they don't get this speculate to accumulate business though. They are desperate to get to where they want to be for selling on at a huge profit imo and are aiming to do it as cheaply as possible. The money they gave out on the stand just adds to the clubs value yet they see it as investing in the whole set up.
