I think this year I've finally decided to stop pissing away a few quid here and there on the handicap races. The Holywell bet is the only one I had, and will have of that sort.

Is this the place to ask people's thoughts on that daft bint, Pendleton?

 

I'd be surprised if many people really cared one way or another, Champ. A bit of the coverage has been a bit cringeworthy but ultimately she'll be riding one race at the festival. She can't really help with the nature of the coverage, can she? I can't claim to know much about her but she's seems reasonably down to earth. She knows she's on the patch of other professionals and has at least been respectful.

 

I guess it's reasonably impressive in some respects, especially if she has plans on sticking with it. I think she'll do well to get round in one piece, it'll be nothing like any of the other races she's been in. I do wonder what the rest of the Amateur riders think of her.

You clearly never watched any of the coverage of her in the build up to the Olympics

 

I haven't, no. I guess she tones it down because she's in someone else's yard, so to speak.

 

I recommend watching her race on Friday, Champ, as there is a very decent chance she'll be finishing her race a few yards after the first fence.

All the each way are small bets, the 2nd day is always a minefield and one for the bookies. Best of luck y'all
