This is why I'm knocking the devil's cabbage on the head, I don't remember that City game at all and all I remember from the Chelsea game is the Suarez bite.

There is a tendency by fans to treat new players like a kid with a new Christmas toy. An urgent need to discard the old player like a used toy.  Gerrard needs to be rested and from time to time and subbed as the manager now has more options. I guess there is an in-between but big away games you want Gerrard there without question.

Anyway, I never suggested it was my preferred central midfield nor the best one, just curious as to what the extra legs would bring to the defensive side of our game. Whether teams waltzing through us at times is tactical, personnel or a bit of both.

We generally need him in there more than ever now since we're lacking leaders now Suarez has gone, who was a winner and led by example on the pitch. bit scary at the moment while new players are bedding in.
