like a team who d already qualified. allen did really well for the goal. sterling won a penalty but was otherwise dirt. lambert missed the pen having scored all 30 odd of his pens for so'ton. suso scored a clinker at the end.

Daniel Sturridge has flown home fromLiverpool's tour of America to have treatment on a hamstring injury.

 

The England striker missed Saturday night's 2-0 win over AC Milan in Charlotte butBrendan Rodgers insists he will be fit for the start of the new Premier League campaign.

 

Adam Lallana and Jon Flanagan, who have both been hampered by knee injuries, joined Sturridge on the plane.

 

“Dan has flown back to the UK,” Rodgers said.

 

“He wasn't going to be ready for the game on Monday but there is no concern there. He will be ready for the game against Borussia Dortmund next weekend.

 

“It was just best to get him back to the training ground so he can get some treatment there. He has a really, really slight feeling in his hamstring. Nothing major.”

Allen and ibe were the stand out performers for me but there where some others, kolo looked assured and still as fast as any cb we have.

 

Ill be interested to see what happens with ibe as he is a big talent that's too good to be on the bench behind a lot of players and really needs game time to keep progressing, we should only be loaning him to teams that would view him as a starter.

If only there had been some indication that Suarez wanted to leave. If we had just known his intentions, like if he had tried legal action in order to facilitate a move for example, maybe we could have had a replacement lined up.
