I'm sure if you were somebody who had been on the telly every week for years, it would never cross your mind that going down on one knee with a bunch of roses and proposing to your woman in the middle of Times Square at the busiest time of the evening might lead to someone doing that. These polls are Bayesian - i.e. the predictions keep getting updated as the evidence accumulates. So it would be interesting to be able to see how the predictions have been changing as the season has unfolded: to compare - say - the average position in predictions made before the beginning of the season (the 'prior') with the average position in predictions made since the beginning of November.
