The one-month suspension as protection issued by UEFA against the French defender is not extended. It should be relaxed this week.
Mamadou Sakho is no longer suspended. Worth a month imposed a precaution by UEFA on April 28, has not been extended by the European body and the French international defender Liverpool (26) is now allowed to resume operations professional. In all likelihood, Sakho, who had tested positive in a doping test after the eighth-final second leg Europa League against Manchester United (1-1), March 17, is likely to be relaxed in a few days. The arguments presented by its English lawyers were retained: the fat burner that has ingested was not on the list of unauthorized products, its line of defense from the start. The doping charge was therefore eliminated. Does he still have a chance to rejoin the group if Didier Deschamps Jérémy Mathieu does not recover sufficiently from his injury in the calf? The coach has to make its final list for Euro May 31

Mamadou Sakho to face no further ban, claims French reports

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho will receive no further suspension from UEFA and could even be included in France’s squad for the European Championships, according to reports in France on Saturday.

Sakho was suspended for an initial 30 days last month and was expected to receive a further ban once his hearing with UEFA had been held.

That hearing took place last week, with the outcome expected to be revealed next week.

Reports in France, from L’Equipe, this Saturday claim the 26-year-old will receive no further ban and is therefore available immediately.

Sakho was suspended after testing for a banned substance after the Europa League match at Old Trafford, the substance reportedly being a fat burner. These reports suggest the fat burner wasn’t on UEFA’s banned list.

Liverpool moved to initially suspend Sakho pending UEFA’s findings and the player declined to have his B sample tested.

Reports had suggested a ban of anything between six months to two years.

Now, if these reports in France are true, it would be a huge boost for the player, his country and his club.

France coach Didier Deschamps has until May 31st to name his final squad for Euro 2016, and Sakho has previously been a mainstay in the side. With fellow centre-back Raphael Varane this week ruled out through injury, Sakho’s availability would be a welcome boost.

Meanwhile, Sakho being available for Liverpool immediately next season would affect Jurgen Klopp‘s summer transfer plans too, with less need for another centre-back signing.

Sakho would have made difference in Basel. Toure was excellent.

Sheff Utd got a payout because a player that shouldn't have been playing was. Completely different case. If his levels were elevated he needed to be provisionally suspended

Doesn't matter what Toure did imo, if Barca had Messi suspended and Arda Turan was man of the match it doesn't change the fact Barca would have preferred to have Messi playing.

I hope the club takes action against UEFA and I've seen fans on Twitter who are lawyers saying the same.A big payout would soften the blow of missing out on the cl.

We wont get fucked all

His level were elvated hence he pissed hot. They needed investigating and it takes time to investigate. Why didn't this come up earlier anyway?.

The chances are his agents/legal team have found a loop hole

If it's true that the substance, at the time, wasn't on the banned list it isn't a loop hole it's a false accusation.

Not if his levels were high.

If he had elevated levels you provisional suspend somebody while investigating. What im saying is there is a chance they have found a loop hole by finding a unbanned substance that could habe caused the elevated test

from a friend that pointed out the article to me  he is saying the substance in the fat burner was on the ban list at the start and was taken off so if this turns out to true id say its a case of someone didnt get the memo

If the substance he took was not on the banned list, it begs the question why he was suspended. During his suspension we lost a crucial cup final. I wonder if there are grounds for litigation?

This makes no sense. How can you fail a test for a banned substance not on the WADA list?

I'll wait for the official UEFA record but I think this alleged report is a crock of shit until then.

Substances get added and removed all the time. If true, it seems as if he either took it while it was off the list and it was subsequently added or took it while it was on the list and it was subsequently removed. It's all a bit murky but I think there's some truth in the reports.
