Tim Sherwood - He's Got To Stay

He's given Villa a boost like he did at the beginning of his Spurs reign. And he'll fizzle out just like he did at Spurs.

Not saying he's anything great by a long shot but Villa were headed for relegation under lambert and managed to give us several home defeats in the process.

If 'Timmy' keeps them up, I cant see villa fans complaining. He's got them to the semi's of the FA Cup as well so they'll be as happy as pigs in their own shit (not that pigs like their own shit).

Villa under Lambert were an anomaly as far I'm concerned. A shit team managed by a shit manager who lose against everyone except Liverpool at Anfield. No logic to it, just some weird randomness of the universe.

Aston Villa's Tim Sherwood tips Fabian Delph for Euro 2016 glory

Roy Hodgson will lead England to glory at the 2016 European Championships, according to Tim Sherwood.

The Aston Villa manager has also tipped midfielder Fabian Delph, who has won three caps, to be part of any success.

The 25-year-old is in Hodgson's squad for England's Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania on 27 March and friendly in Italy four days later.

"Roy will stumble across a team that will win the Euros. He will, I tell you. They will win it," said Sherwood.

The former Tottenham boss also revealed that he tried to buy Delph when he was in charge at White Hart Lane.

"I tried my best with Fabian, I really tried my best," added Sherwood. "I think there was a place for him there where he could have slotted in either side of [Ryan] Mason and [Nabil] Bentaleb.

He'd cost too much money now, but he would have been a bargain then."

He's been schooled well by Redknapp: fill your side with a bunch of attacking players, give them a speech from Rocky, tell some under-performing plum he's triffic and start angling for the England job.

If he pays his taxes he'll be England manager.

He'll be putting his own name forward as soon as budgie is sacked after another tournament of failure.
