My heart sank a little when I heard the Australians had found nothing. Cant imagine what its like for those poor families to have had their hopes raised of at least some news then to have it taken away again

Debris may have sunk, or may have been a container that fell of a ship, or may have been just about anything.

My Spy Bee senses are tinging, and I expect something to break over the next few days.

or possibly explode.

Why have the US and UK committed a lot of man hours and money from their Air forces and Navy into this search? Seems a lot of effort when ultimately its not their responsibility. I know there were a handful of citizens from both countries but its not purely them being decent human beings is it? They dont expend the same effort when 100's of citizens in their own countries go missing on a daily basis.

Nope Boeing is a Western Company and so too are many of the major airlines. Until this plane is found and the cause of the problem is identified then confidence in flying is hit. So to protect their own citizens, their major companies and their economies it makes sense to find this plane.

Oh and as for the Aussie sighting being a container...what kind of containing is 24m long (i.e. about 76 feet long)?

Give me a few days, the benefit of hindsight and information. I'll tell you exactly what that object is.

Would i be wrong to think that somehow the "helping" countries are actually going to bill the Malaysian government for all this work?

It sounds odd i know, but i really dont think the yanks, brits, aussies etc are doing all this for fuck all. Somebody has to pay for the fuel, man hours, technology etc.......

I don't understand? If my relative was on there, the last thing I would want is confirmation that it had crashed in the south Indian Ocean. That basically means that my family member is dead. While there is no evidence of a crash there is still hope that the plane landed and the passengers are still alive.
