Oh i agree and they have booked alot of big names for earlier events. If Connors not fighting 145lb he should be dropping the belt imo.

Yeah, he should be defending his belt. The UFC are probably thinking it'd be a disaster if he went down to 145 and lost, though. A rematch with Diaz is the bigger fight, and his star wouldn't be as diminished if he loses.

Maybe instal interim at 145, if McGregor wins rematch he can drop back down to defend then sets up the 3rd McGregor/Diaz further down the line if Diaz wants it.

 

McGregor KOs Edgar all day for me anyway at 145, be interesting to see what weight the rematch will be made at
